6*59™ micro nutrients are formulated to combat malnutrition.

ORIGIN|Unite aims to reduce child mortality by connecting children under 5 with vital nutrients.

One in three children worldwide are undernourished. Micronutrient deficiency, especially the lack of Iodine, Iron and vitamin A is a major manifestation of malnutrition. Most of the effects of undernourishment are irreversible after age 2 and continue to limit a child's development until the age of 5. According to United Nations Standing Committee on Nutrition (UNSCN) and the World Health Organization (WHO):
Iodine deficiency is the greatest single cause of mental retardation and brain damage, affecting 1.9 billion people worldwide.
Iron deficiency and anaemia, affects more children than any other condition. It reduces school performance, increases the risk of sickness and hinders the physical and cognitive development.
Vitamin A deficiency is the leading cause of preventable blindness in children and increases the risk of disease and death of severe illness and death from such common childhood infections as measles.
Our 6*59™ micronutrients are developed and formulated in accordance with WHO, United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and World Food Programme (WFP). But we have gone a step further and fortified the formula in collaboration with AmeriCare's Dr. Frank J. Bia's medical team who works at the grass-root level.
Just one unit of our 6*59™ provides a child with life changing and balanced micronutrients for one year. For product details, please see our 6*59™ label.

Our Partnership with AmeriCares

What is AmeriCares...

In times of epic disaster, daily struggle or civil conflict, AmeriCares restores health and saves lives by delivering donated medicines and relief supplies to people in need around the world and here at home. The World Health Organization estimates one-third of the world’s population- nearly 2 billion people- lack access to essential medicines. In addition to a shortage of medicines, health care professionals in poor countries struggle daily with a lack of supplies such as gloves, syringes, gauze and bandages.
That’s where AmeriCares comes in. Since its founding in 1982, AmeriCares has provided more than $10 billion of aid to 164 countries. To accomplish these results, AmeriCares assembles product donations from the private sector, determines the most urgent needs and solicits the funding to send the aid via airlift or ocean cargo to health and welfare professionals in the poorest regions of the world.

The model is time tested, cost effective and experience driven.  Because AmeriCares delivers donated medicines and medical supplies from corporate partners to an established and trusted network of locally based clinics, hospitals, and health care providers around the world, the impact of the contributions of supporters is multiplied many, many times over. Historically, for every $1 donated AmeriCares is able to deliver $25 in humanitarian relief to people in need. AmeriCares has a longstanding commitment to fiscal responsibility and has consistently received high rankings from Charity Navigator.. These ratings reflect the fact that 98% of our overall expenses directly support programs and relief for people in need – and 2% represent administrative costs.

FACTS & FIGURES ON MALNUTRITION

Each year millions of children are affected by malnutrition. The Millennium Development Goals (MDG’s) of child survival estimate that approximately 8.1 million children under the age of five died in 2009. Undernutrition annually accounts for more than one-third of these deaths. It is a large misconception that severe malnutrition is caused by not getting enough to eat. Often the issue lies in not receiving the right micronutrients. Approximately 1,256,000 children under the age of five die every year due to lack of vitamin A, iodine, iron and zinc in their diets.   Children with micronutrient deficiency lack the proper nutrition essential for the development of strong and healthy immune systems and bodily functions, leaving them more susceptible to disease and overall mortality.
Micronutrient supplementation has received the support and attention of top global health experts and organizations, including the World Health Organization, UNICEF, and the Copenhagen Consensus. World Health Organization (WHO) states that the periodic supply of high-dose vitamin A has had remarkable results, reducing mortality by 23% amongst children with micronutrient deficiency. The 2008 Copenhagen Consensus, a panel of world class economists, analyzed cost-effective solutions to the world’s ten biggest challenges. They ranked micronutrient supplementation for children as the top global priority.
ORIGIN|Unite’s core mission is to fight malnutrition. For young children, essential nutrients help build the foundation for good health and present the opportunity to lead meaningful and productive lives.    ORIGIN|Unite's work is to mobilize resources advancing availability, access and use of micronutrients, among children at risk of malnutrition. We focus on two main resources to ensure maximum impact giving as many children as possible a chance to survive malnutrition: 1. Our network marketing force, with its incredible fundraising ability, in this case literally product contributions and 2. Our "in house” manufactured Essential micronutrient supplementation 6*59™ produced according to WHO, UNICEF standards.
